New release ‘Comme au Cinéma’

‘Comme au Cinéma’, François Vé’s new release due out in October 2026, will serve as a reflection on the number 7 and mark the Lausanne-based singer’s seventh album.

After four years spent working on his album Arbres – written and produced in an alpine chalet in the Vaud Jura using solar power generated by his cargo bike – François Vé invites you to immerse yourself in new songs composed largely on the piano, which will take centre stage in this new venture.

Lyrics inspired by nature – a lakeside, reeds – and stories of life that project a subjective truth, much like a film, with poetry that plunges us into the light of a darkened cinema. This album will feature melodies that are easy to hum along to and lift the spirits.

The album will be recorded in the Vaud plains using a mobile studio set up for the occasion, with each song recorded in a different location. The energy used for the recording will come from the solar panels on the cargo bike from the ‘Helvetica’ and ‘Arbres’ tour. The physical album will take the form of a calendar that can be adapted to any year; each person will be able to write in the days of the week, making this item unique.
