The open-air exhibition of Christmas cribs is 89 cribs that wind along the narrow streets of Estavayer-le-Lac. Original, classical or artistic, these creations are mostly made by the inhabitants of the medieval city.
A journey full of poetry allows the public to connect each of the cribs and to admire, in the open air, the creativity and uniqueness of the installations. Illuminated windows and display cases serve as a showcase for the characters who make up the traditional representation of the Nativity.
Created by the Tourist Office, this magical winter activity gives pride of place to budding or experienced artists, whether they are shopkeepers or individuals who enthusiastically participate every year.
This year, the 5 senses Christmas Nativity Scene is part of the Nativity Scene itinerary. The exhibition will be held in the Chapelle de l'Hôpital. It covers an area of 140m2 and features almost 1,000 terracotta figurines.
