The Broye Chamber Orchestra presents selected works by Bizet, Donizetti, Verdi and Offenbach
‘Autour de l’Opéra’ brings together the Orchestre de Chambre de la Broye and the Chœur en Fête for the first time in an operatic programme featuring highlights from 19th-century operas.
Led by Leana Durney (mezzo-soprano), Davide Autieri (baritone), Elia Fischer (conductor) and André Denys (choir director), this project brings together choir, orchestra and soloists in a lively and accessible musical encounter.
Spanning opera and folk songs, the programme explores the great human emotions — love, life, death — and creates a dialogue between genres, notably through an excerpt from La Servante d’Evolène by Gustave Doret and René Morax.
