This year, the Avenches National Equestrian Institute (IENA) is hosting the Swiss Vaulting Championships, a discipline combining gymnastics and horsemanship, performed on a galloping horse.
Over three days, the country’s finest vaulters — competing individually, in pairs or in groups — will battle it out for the national title, in a skilful blend of grace, strength and precision.
