Syncopated blues with a vintage feel and infectious grooves with hillbilly influences. A powerful voice, frenzied riffs and explosive rhythm sections: the band’s repertoire consists mainly of original compositions. The tracks explore the timeless themes of the blues — wandering, passion, struggle, celebration — whilst drawing inspiration from contemporary society and culture. From this fusion emerges a hybrid blues, rooted in tradition yet open to new sonic colours.
La Bête à Trois Têtes is an innovative blues trio, playing on a range of bespoke instruments crafted by the band’s leader, Frank Powlesland. This band brings together three strong personalities: Léa Rovero (bass, vocals), who brings groove and precision; Frank Powlesland (lap steel, dobro, banjo, vocals), a craftsman and sound innovator; and Nicolas Wolf (drums, guitar), whose percussive energy and versatility round off the ensemble.
Formed in 2023, the band has already performed on numerous stages across Switzerland and has just recorded its debut album, Île Saint-Pierre, consisting entirely of original compositions.
