Gerlane Cardoso is a Brazilian singer from the north-east of Brazil. Her many years of musical experience have enabled her to blend her own rhythms into innovative and infectious music. In 2001 and 2002, she was named best singer in the RN region and in 2007, she was voted artist of the year by popular vote. She brings with her pure traditional Brazilian music with captivating arrangements.
After arriving in Switzerland, she had the opportunity to perform at the 2014 Montreux Jazz Festival as part of ‘Music In The Park’ and on the Brasil Boat. Back in Brazil, Gerlane performed at the FIFA Fan Fest during the World Cup in her hometown of Natal, RN. In 2015, in view of her success, the organisers of the Montreux Jazz Festival asked her to perform again on the Brasil Boat.
With her captivating voice, Gerlane Cardoso will make you want to dance to the music she has specially chosen for you. She performs Brazilian popular music, bossa nova, jazz and more.
